Derrick thought there was something happening between Piper and himself, and kind of knew that he would soon find out if it was more than friends. Derrick had a smile when he saw a grin on Piper's face. At first he wondered if it could be another trick to distract him for another splash when she held his gaze and freed her hand. She pulled him close and gently gave him a short kiss before letting him go and retreating a short distance away.
Derrick smiled after the kiss, which to him was much too short and found himself wanting more. He saw the grin on Piper's face. "I liked it very much", He offered his hand across the water, "I almost wish I played for double or nothing" keeping with Vegas theme.

YOUR TIME, I'M WASTING CAN'T SAY WHERE WE'VE BEEN
• • • • • • • Piper allowed the grin to stay on her face at his words, she should hope that he liked it, or else it probably would have been awkward. If it did turn awkward her swim would be over and then she would have to leave, probably to never run into the boy again, after all Vegas was a pretty big city. It would not have been that much of a loss, sure she’d miss the boy and what could have possibly been, but there were others out there. Thankfully the situation didn’t turn awkward so she didn’t have to leave and therefore could continue enjoying the evening with the boy she had just met. Piper eyed his hand briefly before slowly sliding her hand into his, a slow grin curling her lips up at his Vegas themed statement. “double or nothing hmm?” she stated while floating closer to the boy, a sly grin now colouring her face.
Piper leaned towards the boy, as if she was going to kiss him again, but this time she took a deep breath and then went under the water, pulling the boy down with her. Sliding her fingers from his grasp she began to swim away from the boy, back towards the shallow end. That was the thing with Piper although she was a romantic she simply couldn’t resist playing games like this. Piper was most definitely hard to get, unless she was drunk because then she’d just fall all over you and do anything you wanted. Right now though, she was sober and in a very playful mood, besides she wasn’t too sure exactly how she wanted this thing with her and Derrick to play out. Sure, he was attractive and from what she could tell sweet, and there was chemistry between them, but it was too early to tell and she didn’t often dive right into things. Once Piper was at the shallow end she surfaced, taking a deep breath before she began laughing as her eyes searched the water for Derrick.

Derrick smiled when she took his hand, and as she reached over like she was going to kiss him, she held him and pulled him under, then began swimming toward the shallow end again. This time rather than waiting, Derrick stroked strongly staying where he knew she wouldn't notice him. However when he got to the shallow end of the pool, he dove under water and circled to left because most people will turn around to their strong side. derrick circled around behind Piper and then quietly surfaced while she was scanning the deep end of the pool.
Derrick walked up behind her and lightly wrapped his arms around her waist. He then gently kissed her neck and blew in her ear. "Tag your it" Derrick quickly dove and swam back to the deep end , he waited patiently treading water .

YOUR TIME, I'M WASTING CAN'T SAY WHERE WE'VE BEEN
• • • • • • • Piper found herself frowning lightly as she could not see the boy from where she was standing, which meant that Derrick had probably followed after her; or was drowning in the deep end. She bit her lip while squinting her eyes, trying to see if he was floating beneath the surface in the deep end, trying to scare her or something. Just as she was about to start swimming into the deep end she felt arms wrap around her waist and lips on her neck, she leaned back slightly, sighing in relief as she heard his voice. A pleasant smile had turned her lips off as she watched him retreat to the deep end; that boy was a crafty one and she’d definitely give him points for style. “You know you scared me half to death when I couldn’t see you.” She called out to him as she began a slow swim back to the boy.
“I thought that you’d drowned or something ridiculous.” She continued, no longer shouting now that she was with in talking distance. Piper shook her head as she stopped by the boy, treading water alongside him. “Now how do you propose I tag you back?” she inquired, titling her head slightly. “It would be a little too dangerous to try anything too risqué while floating in the middle of the deep end, wouldn’t want to actually drown.” She continued while slowly moving towards the edge of the pool before she pulled herself up to sit on the edge, leaving her legs dangling in the pool. As Piper stared at the boy she hoped that he would catch her drift and join her on the edge of the pool, that way they wouldn’t have to worry about drowning if they got too distracted by each other.

Derrick chuckled as he watched Piper come to him slowly. He then smiled, "I am not going to drown from a little dunking" he replied good-naturedly, it was good to know that she was concerned about. She came up beside him and took a break to figure out how to tag him back. Derrick knew she was plotting something good when she mentioned risque. Derrick laughed knowing that he would have to be prepared for anything. Piper then swam to the edge of the pool and sat there waiting for him. He glanced at her and smiled. She looked quite nice with her long hair and bare stomach, and her nice breasts hidden under her bra. Derrick took a deep breath and being a good sport, went to the edge of the pool next to her, and lifted himself with pure arm strength and sat down next Piper.
Derrick expected anything from being pushed back into the pool to a long passionate kiss, it really depended a little on Piper as to what she was looking for right now. Derrick was very interested in Piper at the moment, her playfulness had him completely under her spell and he was curious as to her intent.

YOUR TIME, I'M WASTING CAN'T SAY WHERE WE'VE BEEN
• • • • • • • The brunette nodded as the boy spoke, “well I should hope not, what with you being a lifeguard and all that would probably be embarrassing.” She joked through a small laugh, “oh and tragic, that too.” She added after a moment, nodding her head, trying not to seem like she’d just shrug off his death that is if he were to die. Which was not going to happen on Pipers watch anyway, she may not be a lifeguard but she was sure she could haul the boy out of the pool and give him CPR if he needed it and then of course call an ambulance. Piper simply smiled as she watched the boy check her out, she had expected it and would probably have been a little insulted if he refused to check her out. Piper knew she looked good, not super model good or anything, but enough to give the girl next door a run for her money. Piper appraised the boy as he pulled himself out of the pool, grinning slightly as she observed his arms, very nice; clearly she had picked the right pool to sleep in.
Piper placed her hands on the ground behind her, leaning back slightly as she looked at the boy, a small smile on her lips. She could practically see the boy trying to play out every possible situation that she might come up with, it was even a mystery to her as to what she was going to do next. Piper rarely planned anything out or thought ahead, she just let her instincts take over and guide her into doing, what would hopefully be the right thing. “So Derrick…” she paused a moment, rolling words over on her tongue. “Tell me about yourself, I mean I know a little bit, you’re a cute freshman, a lifeguard, a pretty good kisser, but who are you really?” she inquired, tilting her head ever so slightly, letting her hair slide off her shoulder exposing her whole upper body.

Mike laughed with Piper when she mentioned him drowning as a lifeguard. Although it was always possible, it was highly unlikely. He did fantasize for a couple seconds of doing a dead man's float, maybe try to play for a little mouth to mouth. But it was too risky, if Piper was forced to call the ambulance, it would have implications for the both of them. Piper also might not think it was funny and he might lose a chance with her because of a lack of judgment.
Piper than relaxed and leaned back and asked him to tell her about himself. He smiled when she told him he was cute and a pretty good kisser, he hadn't been given a chance to prove himself there, maybe he could improve himself if given a chance. He would at least try. Things were becoming encouraging at least. "Well, I came to Las Vegas from the Midwest where I grew up on a farm. I am in the business college on scholarship." Derrick smiled as his eyes focused on her body.
